An observational documentary that explores the life of local Savannah artist Sharon Norwood, as she struggles to move into a new studio and confronts the emotional and financial cost of sustaining her practice.

Growing up in Savannah has inspired me to capture a small corner of its creative fire in tandem with it’s dark history – and that is exactly what Sharon explores in her work.
I grew up surrounded by many wonderful local artists of the lowcountry, and always found them to be wells of knowledge with cultivated, meaningful, and deeply personal bodies of work. I consider this thesis film to be a love letter to these artists through the microcosm of Sharon’s life and practice.
